Hello Friends and Welcome!
My name is Michele.
I love all things creative! I love arts and crafts, home decorating, web design, blogging, and writing in my journal. Plus I am a mental health survivor, and blogging has helped me more than I ever thought possible. Depression and anxiety have been in my life for so long I can’t imagine what life would be like without it.
When I am not working on my blogs
you can find me reading inspirational stories about all kinds of things.
Some of my favorites are from mental health bloggers who share in the everyday fight for emotional survival like myself. Being creative is essential to my mental health, that’s why I love blogging and designing. It keeps my mind to stay somewhat in order.
Another favorite is reading about amazing lady bloggers and designers who have created something special with their websites and decided to share their knowledge with others which led me to my love of blogging.
Since I am a graphic designer and love feminine looking websites, I have searched the web to find some of the best WordPress templates out there. I am happy to share everything I have learned with you
How I cope with mental health
Here on my blog, I will be sharing my interpretations about living and coping with anxiety and depression. I have suffered from mental illness for most of my life. I am a mid-lifer and over my many years, I have learned that I am not alone and that there are so many people out there who also suffer from this, whether you are young, a mid-lifer, or in your silver years it hurts all the same.
I want to share some of my successes and failures with people who are struggling like me, and who understand the loneliness, even if we are not alone.
We are all too often
ashamed, and feel completely alone in our sorrow. We feel isolated from others, even when we are surrounded by the ones we love. Our pain goes unseen as we smile into the faces of the ones who love us.
We together are our greatest resource. We just need to talk about it and to connect with others that feel the same. Share our stories, which are familiar and yet so different.
I often deal with my anxiety and depression by being sarcastic or through humor (which is sometimes dark humor) so bear with me 🙂
How to start a blog or website
here on my blog, I want to share all the steps I took to develop my blogs from just a concept to designing and promoting it plus how I maintain and customize it without having to hire a professional web designer.
I have found that even with a WordPress template, making changes to your website can be difficult, especially if you don’t know much about HTML, PHP, or how to use a CSS style sheet. There is also a bit of a learning curve when it comes to graphic designing and making Pinterest graphics to promote your site. That’s where I come in!
More about me
I have a wonderful husband who has been by my side since I was 17, let’s just say, it’s been a long, long time. I am the proud mother of two amazing children and soon to be a mother-in-law to a special guy who I already consider to be one of my own. I am blessed.
Here are some random things about me.
I really love movies and binge-watching my favorite TV shows.
I listen to music every day, especially my favorite band MUSE!
I have 3 doggies and 3 ferrets (I’ve had 6 ferrets in my life, they are truly special creatures!)
I eat a Jumbo-sized muffin for breakfast every morning.
I have a weird and dark sense of humor. Sarcasm is my second language.
I curse way too much, so sorry for that 🙂
I love love love coffee, which I didn’t like until I turned 30, crazy! Wasted years I can’t get back.
Guess who is super shy and reclusive, this lady (so why did I start a blog?)
I would love to hear from you.
It’s hard to reach out to others and the anxiety that goes along with meeting new people (even online). I am timid about even asking you to reach out to me, so we already have that in common!
Thanks for giving my blog a look and if I can help you in any way please let me know because that’s why I am doing this.
Always Anxious,
