Hello Friends and Welcome!
My name is Michele.
I love all things creative! I love arts and crafts, home decorating, adult coloring books and writing. I also like reading inspirational stories about living with mental illness, which has led me to my new love for blogging.
What am I blogging about!
Here on my blog, I will be sharing my interpretations about living and coping with anxiety and depression. I have suffered from mental illness for most of my life. I am a midlifer and over my many years, I learned that I am not alone and that there are so many people out there who also suffer from this, whether you are young, a midlifer or in your silver years it hurts all the same.
I want to share some of my successes and failures with people who are struggling like me, and who understand the loneliness, even if we are not alone.
We are all too often, ashamed and feel completely alone in our sorrow. We feel isolated from others, even when we are surrounded by the ones we love. Our pain goes unseen as we smile into the faces of the ones who love us.
We together are our greatest resource. We just need to talk about it and to connect with others that feel the same. Share our stories, which are familiar and yet so different.
I often deal with my anxiety and depression by being sarcastic or through humor (which is sometimes dark humor) so bear with me 🙂
I am the proud mother of two amazing children and I have a wonderful husband who has been by my side since I was 17, let’s just say it’s been a long, long time.
Here are some random things about me…I really love movies and binge watching my favorite TV shows.
I listen to music every day, especially my favorite band MUSE!
I have 3 doggies and 5 ferrets (yep, you read that right… 5 ferrets !!!)
I eat a chocolate chip muffin for breakfast every morning.
I have a weird and dark sense of humor.
I curse way too much, so sorry for that 🙂
I love love love coffee, which I didn’t like until I turned 30, crazy!
I am super shy and reclusive (so why did I start a blog?)
I would love to hear from you, I know how hard it is to reach out to others and the anxiety that goes along with meeting new people (even online). I am timid about even asking you to reach out to me, so we already have that in common!
Thanks for giving my blog a look and if I can help you in any way please let me know because that’s why I am doing this.
Let’s not be anxious, together.
